South London alt-pop artist Pet Grotesque has just shared 'Blanket', his third and final preview of sophomore LP Female Synth Player, released tomorrow. Undeniably soulful, the track features PG's signature falsetto vocals, that open with the surreal line, “you’re egg, you’re my basket, you’re my egg, you’re my blanket”. The chorus sees a gritty guitar riff, whose melody is followed by the bass and vocals, embedding the track in a world of satisfying pop. 'Blanket' is a brazen and catchy preview of what's to come. Progressing from the solo, lo-fi bedroom pop of PG’s first album Good Egg in 2017, Female Synth Player is described as “PG in HD”’, available tomorrow. -Ellie Rose-Davies
